The Chinese New Year Banquet of the year of dog was successfully hosted by the Chinese Society of Nova Scotia in Casino Nova Scotia on 17 Feb 2018.The Chinese Society of Nova Scotia (CSNS) is one of the most influential Chinese associations in the Canadian Atlantic Provinces. The annual new year banquet is an yearly signature event hosted by the CSNS. This year the event gathered more than 300 attendees including government officials, business owners, representative of local Chinese community associations and individuals who are interested in Chinese traditions. The special guests include but not limited to: His Honour, The Honourable Arthur J. LeBlanc, ONS, QC, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia; Mr. Xiaojun Heng, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of the People’s Republic China in Canada; Honourable Keith Colwell, Minister of Agriculture, on behalf of Premier Stephen McNeil; His Worship Mike Savage, Mayor of HRM;Dr. Robert Summerby-Murray, President

As tradition, the Chinese Society of Nova Scotia will organize 2018 Chinese New Year Banquet to celebrate Chinese New year (the year of Dog) with all Nova Scotians. The 2018 Chinese New Year Banquet will be held on the February 17, 2018, 6:00 pm – 11:30 pm, at Nova Scotia Casino, 1983 Upper Water Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 3Y5. The banquet program features greetings by distinguished guests, dinner, cultural performance, and dancing.The purpose of this event is to express our gratitude to Nova Scotians for their friendship, to strengthen the linkage between the Chinese Society and the business communities in Nova Scotia, and to showcase Chinese arts and culture.It’s a great opportunity for attendee to enjoy the great local hospitality and delicious food; experience a most delightful and traditional Chinese celebration and communicate with the fast growing society members in diversified professions.Please mark this signature CSNS
